I saw that picture and was wondering what that was all about too...but then I was all...well, goth isn't a fashion statement so much as it's a state of mind...

if you think goth girls don't smile then you've never seen a goth girl at a Current 93 concert. Or a goth girl in a grave yard. Or a goth girl admiring the ravens on the fence line. Or a goth girl.

Anyway, I thought it was emo kids who don't smile. Kids being the operative word.

Goth is like....something totally different. It's a personality trait, and It's things a person favors over other things. It's an appreciation for structures, fabrics, music, places, time spent, things contemplated, literature, media, the shapes of things, like shoes or headstones....goth is a lot more dynamic than the pastel pretties like to admit....I'd say.
