Mine is a leather note pad that was schwag from when I worked at SeGa -=so=- long ago. It entertains me because the slogan on the seal is "The Future Starts Here".

Sat, June 14, 2008 - 12:41 AMIt's from early 90s I think...not sure what I had before that one; I think I probably inherited it when someone left it at BMUG; it's a glossy one, not rough...so it's unlikely from the 80s. Alas, I blew my wrists out testing computers...actually, the first time I blew out a wrist it was playing Pirates...so, well, I avoid mousing as much as possible these days...trackpads and thumb marbles are much better for the wrists.

Fri, June 13, 2008 - 12:23 PMMy latest mousepad was my leg, or the couch. Optical meeses work on anything. Now I'm too lazy to hook the mouse to my laptop (I only needed it to play World of Warcraft), so I just use the touchpad. I didn't even know that you still had a desktop, Paula. -

Ulti-mat is a teflon coated steel plate with a thin foam base that prevents slipage. My Logitech G9 Laser mouse works spectacularly well on it.
I own two, one for work, and one for gaming at home.
Am I the only one here that has high-end mouse pads bookmarked?

I keep an old desktop because my work software won't work on the laptop. The desktop has a Wecom tablet that I use for a mouse. I'm envoius of Timbo's Star Trek pad. My last mouse pad was a gift from Saudi Air and had airplanes and arabic writing all over it. I still have it somewhere just 'cause I think its cool. -
