As a comics geek, it did my heart proud to see Robert Downey Jr. hamming it up as a drunken, swashbuckling Tony Stark. And how about that hidden ending?

Mon, May 5, 2008 - 4:05 PMI thought the film was great. The first hour or so is probably some of the best comic book adaptation I've seen on film. I thought it did fade a bit towards the end, but it's still one of the best superhero movies ever made. Robert Downey Jr. was just perfect in the role.
My friend made me leave during the credits, so I guess I'll have to see it again! Oh, and Marvel already announced the sequel for 2010. -

Tue, May 6, 2008 - 11:21 AMI'm on my way out to see it right now, but I wanted to comment that the second film will apparently (according to 'Attack of the Show') feature THOR!!! OMG <bounce>! Sorry to geek, but Thor was my absolute fave superhero, when I was a kid. Yay! Anyhow, off to see Iron Man : ). -

(sorry if I double posted...for some reason the tribe search didn't find this...strange...must have been problems with the search indexes today or something). In any case, the glitz and panache won out over the plot and physical impossibilities--I don't normally like comics brought to the screen but, this was a fun movie and definitely one of the best in the genre.
